Bob Hubbard of Westwind Double Reed, San Jose CA, is now producing two models of shaper tip for Baroque oboe, and one for Classical oboe, all designed by Stephen Hammer. These fit into a standard shaper handle.

The Hautboy Companion
Antoine is a very distinguished performer on early oboe (principal in the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra) and teaches at the Regional Conservatorium in Paris. He has made a small pedagogical website, principally for his pupils, but also for everyone interested in early oboe studies. A fantastic resource! One can find sheet music in facsimile to download, and some useful links about early oboe.

Database of hautboy dimensions
About five years ago, Carl Burmeister devised a system of database tables to record information about existing instruments. Some measurements by Mary Kirkpatrick, Paul Hailperin and others have already been entered and posted on Carl's hautbois.net site. This could be a fantastic resource if someone wanted to take on the project, collect and enter instrument data, and bring the database up to date.
Handel House
The Museum celebrates Handel's life and works, displaying portraits of Handel and his contemporaries in finely restored Georgian interiors and bringing live music back to his house. Recitals take place every Thursday evening and regularly at the weekends.
