An Oboe Enthusiast since my youth, I play, collect and research 18-19th century oboes and their replicas. My research on oboe history has appeared in Double Reed, J American Musical Instrument Society, Galpin Society Journal, Larigot. My collection includes historical instruments by Cahusac, Milhouse, Grenser, Triebert, Bauer, Golde, Zuleger, Mønnig, and others; and period instruments by Bosworth, Dalton, vas Dias, Ecochard, Hailperin, Haynes and Robinson. My oldest daughter tells me that I have "more oboes than brains" and I am unable to argue with her.
